Position Overview

The Senior Estimation Supervisor is responsible for guiding the Estimation team in the preparation of precise cost estimates, evaluating project proposals, and conducting thorough document reviews. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely project bids
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines
  • Maintain and enhance estimating protocols and templates
  • Review and analyze bid documentation
  • Conduct material take-offs and develop detailed estimates
  • Utilize software tools for effective data management
  • Assist in formulating estimates for project modifications
  • Lead and mentor team members for professional growth
  • Establish and nurture relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction or precast concrete sector
  • At least 10 years of experience in estimating
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software is advantageous
  • Knowledge of construction standards and practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • A proactive approach to working in a dynamic environment
