About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Analyst to join our Supply Chain Optimization team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and continuous performance improvement across all supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive and accurate reports and create visually compelling dashboards using Business Intelligence tools.
  • Design and implement data models that support business requirements, ensuring data integrity and optimizing structures for efficient querying and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand Business Intelligence needs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Develop and execute the organization's Business Intelligence strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to derive actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for effective Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Provide leadership in the Business Intelligence domain, offering guidance to junior analysts and team members.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Business Intelligence projects, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data preparation, data warehousing, and databases.
  • At least 5 years of experience with MS Power BI, MicroStrategy, or comparable Business Intelligence and analytics platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (Python skills an asset).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including advanced Excel features (pivot tables, Power Query).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access (tables, query, macro) and intermediate understanding of databases such as SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Ability to manage and manipulate large datasets, ensuring data integrity.
  • Experience in data mining from multiple systems, handling big data sets both external and internal.
  • Experience in supply chain, transportation, or distribution (an asset).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a context of transformational change and adaptability to evolving business needs.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership and mentorship, especially in guiding junior analysts.
  • Track record of providing high-quality deliverables on time and under pressure as well as managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
