Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Farm Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the risks associated with commercial farm operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of commercial farm operations to identify potential hazards and develop effective risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with farmers and other stakeholders to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers and other industry partners to ensure excellent customer service and retention
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure that our insurance products and services remain relevant and effective
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with farmers and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of agricultural operations and the insurance needs of farmers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
