About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Sofa By Fancy Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in our woodworking projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Material Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Site Conditions: Work in a dusty environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking required throughout the day.
  • Physical Demands: Perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling, with regular breaks to maintain physical well-being.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 30-40 hour week, with occasional overtime required to meet project deadlines.
