Your Role: Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in developing and refining cutting-edge machine learning models that power Fakespot's mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze unstructured textual data, uncovering valuable insights and patterns.
  • Develop and fine-tune sophisticated machine learning models for tasks such as entity recognition, classification, and text generation, enhancing Fakespot's capabilities.
  • Leverage the power of pre-trained language models to address specific use cases, optimizing model performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure that deployed models are optimized for production usage, delivering reliable and scalable solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and refine deployed models, adapting to evolving data patterns and maintaining high accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, sharing expertise and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in natural language processing (NLP) research, incorporating new techniques and methodologies into our work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a quantitative role, demonstrating a strong foundation in machine learning principles and practices.
  • Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), with a proven track record of developing and deploying successful NLP solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, essential tools for data analysis and model development.
  • Experience throughout the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data acquisition and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
