About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Products Painter to join our team at City Welding Sudbury (2015) Limited. As an Industrial Products Painter, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to metal products using various techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Work Area: Ensure the work area is clean and organized, and prepare the necessary equipment and materials for the job.
  • Apply Coatings: Apply protective and decorative coatings to metal products using electroplating, hot-dip metal plating, and spray equipment.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate and control electroplating equipment, hot-dip metal plating equipment, and spray equipment to coat metal products.
  • Inspect and Maintain Equipment: Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and make any necessary repairs.
  • Prepare and Mix Metallizing Solutions: Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications.
  • Select and Apply Paint: Select the appropriate paint or mix paints to apply to metal products.
  • Tend Automatic Metal Coating Machines: Tend automatic metal coating machines that convey objects through a series of cleaning, rinsing, and plating solutions.
  • Prepare and Apply Stencils and Decals: Prepare and apply stencils and decals to finished products.
Work Environment

The Industrial Products Painter will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The work area will be dusty, noisy, and may have odors. The Industrial Products Painter must be able to work in a physically demanding environment and be able to lift and move heavy loads.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week.
