Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the well-being of our residents and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents and patients with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and patients.
  • Assist with mealtime and hydration needs.
  • Participate in activities and programs designed to promote resident and patient engagement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One to two years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
