Job Title: Food Products Inspector

Gomax Trading Corp. is seeking a skilled Food Products Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect Agricultural Products: Conduct thorough inspections of agricultural products to detect any signs of disease, chemical residues, or infestations.
  • Maintain Inspection Records: Accurately record and maintain inspection records, including completion of inspection reports.
  • Ensure Sanitary Procedures: Examine storage, handling, and transportation equipment to ensure that sanitary procedures are followed.
  • Investigate Consumer Complaints: Investigate consumer and trade complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Can, package, and container inspection, import and export products, sampling, sanitation and hygiene, warehouse and storage facilities, grading.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The position requires attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, and strong judgment skills.
