Urologist - Generalist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and team-oriented general urologist to join our group of urologists at the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) in Kamloops. As a urologist in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adults and children, with a mix of hospital and private clinic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care to adult and pediatric patients with urological conditions
• Perform surgical procedures in the operating room, including cystoscopy
• Work in a hospital and private clinic setting, with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Work Environment:

This role will work predominantly with the adult population, but may see pediatric urology patients as well. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. The typical hours for this position are 0800–1600, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of the department.

Travel and Professional Development:

The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional development, including electives and locums. Travel time to Salmon Arm and 100 Mile House is funded, and the candidate will be expected to travel to these locations for cystoscopy procedures.
