Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at S&B Landscaping and Fencing Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscaping team, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscapers and gardeners, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for our clients' properties, ensuring that all gardens and outdoor spaces are well-maintained and looking their best.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Work with clients to understand their needs and develop detailed plans and estimates for landscaping projects.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring that they are built to the highest standard and meet our clients' expectations.
  • Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate the installation of plants, trees, and other landscaping features, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of all work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues that may have arisen.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Work with clients to develop and manage contracts for landscaping services, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Source and purchase all necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for landscaping projects.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during landscaping projects, providing technical advice and guidance to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors
  • Personal Suitability: Initiative, Team player, Work Term: Permanent, Work Language: English, Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
