Electrical Engineer - Project Lead

CIMA+ is a leading consulting engineering firm that offers a dynamic and challenging work environment. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer - Project Lead to join our team in Bowmanville or Mississauga office.

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer - Project Lead, you will be responsible for managing projects of various scope and developing solutions tailored to customer needs. You will oversee the design, inspection, and implementation of electrical systems for multidisciplinary projects on institutional buildings, including education, recreation, healthcare, municipal, and commercial projects, as well as other types of buildings such as industrial and transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate, survey, and audit sites for design projects or studies
  • Manage and work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to construction completion, including tender and construction/contract administration
  • Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Project planning, including design schedule, and proposed construction schedules
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized electrical engineering degree and licensed with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as a P.
  • Minimum 12 years of directly related experience in electrical engineering in the buildings sector
  • Experience with electrical design on water/wastewater and transit facilities preferred
  • Experience in managing teams of professional engineers (an asset)
  • Knowledge and experience in the consulting engineering market and with clients in GTA and surrounding area
