Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter - Framing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to framing and carpentry, including reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring and cutting materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Estimating costs and materials
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role will require handling heavy loads, working at heights, and being exposed to noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the field
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Reliability and punctuality
