Job Title: Engineering Research General Manager

Cohere Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Research General Manager to lead our research and development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of new technologies and products, as well as managing a team of engineers and researchers.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of new technologies and products, including natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
  • Manage a team of engineers and researchers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for information systems, ensuring the security and integrity of our data.
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information, preparing reports to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a research and development environment.
  • Strong understanding of NLP and AI technologies, as well as software development principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and machine learning technologies.
