Position Overview

As a Personal Support Worker at Home Instead, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of personal care tasks aimed at ensuring comfort and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Administer prescribed medications as directed.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene needs.
  • Support clients in engaging in regular physical activities, such as walking.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living environment.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Shop for groceries and household supplies as needed.
Certifications
  • CPR Certification is required.
  • Personal Support Worker Certification is mandatory.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position requiring 35 to 40 hours of work per week. The role will primarily involve working in clients' homes, providing essential support in a compassionate and respectful manner.
