Job Summary:

The Plant Foreman is a key member of our operations team at West Coast Reduction Ltd. This role is responsible for the overall management of our production facility, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct plant employees to ensure optimal production yields and product quality.
  • Schedule and coordinate workforce to meet production demands.
  • Motivate production staff to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report on plant performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs, including coordinating with external contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employee competence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in an industrial plant environment or similar business.
  • Experience operating mobile equipment, including forklifts and skid steers.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.
  • Ticketed trade considered an asset.
  • Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push, and pull equipment up to 60 lbs without assistance.
