Job Summary

The Commercial Insurance Specialist assists the Client Executive(s) in providing exceptional service to Acera clients; mentoring and coordinating the administrative and marketing processes within their sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes client service plans, ensuring commitments are tracked and reported in a unified and meaningful way to the client.
  • Maintains client relationships and monitors satisfaction through regular communication.
  • Contributes to team meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge on client issues, changing needs, and service plans.
  • Identifies clients' insurance requirements and creates proposals that demonstrate Acera's unique approach to mitigating business risk.
  • Educates clients on their business risks and insurance coverage.
  • Represents Acera as a leader in the client and insurance industry through professional writing, speaking, and networking engagements.
  • Supports processes and procedures, participates in team meetings, and advocates for changes and additions to service plans that increase value for clients.

Requirements

  • Supports a climate in which teams want to excel.
  • Adaptable to working effectively as a team or independently with the ability to adjust to tight and changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to maximize efficiencies by leveraging technology, tools, resources, and information.
  • Self-guided learner and problem solver.
  • Level 2 BC Broker License.
  • Minimum 5 years of insurance experience.
  • Working knowledge of insurance document management software.
  • Previous experience working in EPIC will be considered an asset.
  • Skilled user of Microsoft office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
