Job Summary

Bell Canada is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of telecommunications equipment on residential and business customer premises or within the MTS network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment, including copper and FiON based network telecommunications equipment.
  • Work with IP networks, equipment, and protocols to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the position, including pole climbing, lifting, carrying, climbing, and working aloft.
  • Work in confined areas and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Complete various security clearance levels to meet customer business requirements.
  • Work shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays as required.
  • Travel throughout the province by vehicle, boat, airplane, helicopter, fixed wing plane, ATV, and snowmobile.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Communication Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or Electronic Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment.
  • Experience with IP networks, equipment, and protocols.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • Willingness to work in confined areas and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to complete various security clearance levels.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and willingness to travel.
