Job Title: Body Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled Body Repair Technician to join our team at Gauthier Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. As a Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition.

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be working in a dusty and noisy environment, with exposure to odours. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and restore vehicle bodies to their original condition
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
  • File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • Repair or replace interior components
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
Requirements
  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification
  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Red Seal Endorsement
  • Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification
  • 5 years or more of experience in the automotive body repair industry
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
