Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified French Immersion Teacher to join our team in a long-term assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Grade 4 French Immersion students and contributing to the development of a comprehensive education program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French Immersion students in Grade 4, promoting language proficiency and cultural awareness
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, aligned with curriculum standards and Board policies
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices in education
Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Hold a valid Ontario teaching certificate, with a specialization in French Immersion
  • Have a strong understanding of curriculum standards and pedagogical best practices
  • Be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education
