Key Responsibilities- Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with agents, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth information exchange and timely updates on shipment status.
- Pre-Alerts and Status Reports: Enter and send pre-alerts to keep customers and agents informed about air shipment departures, and prepare, manage, and send status reports to clients.
- Shipment Tracking: Keep track of shipments with airlines, agents, and truckers for real-time updates, and check relevant documents for accuracy, such as bills of lading and preliminary documents.
- Client Updates: Update clients and agents on the status of their shipments regularly, and arrange pick-ups from shippers in an organized and timely manner.
- Financial Management: Issue invoices accurately and on time, handle intents to claim when needed, and keep track of pending charges and manage financial transactions carefully.
- Proof of Delivery: Dispatch and follow up on Proof of Deliveries (PODs), and close files accurately and on time.
- Client Status Report: Maintain and update the Client status report, and solve problems effectively as they arise.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Certifications: CITT and/or CIFFA certifications considered assets.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience with Air Freight Import & Export logistics.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, experience effectively managing third-party logistics providers, ability to interpret complex instructions, and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Organizational Abilities: Effective multitasking and organizational abilities, friendly, helpful attitude with a willingness to support, and demonstrates honesty, trustworthiness, and respect.
- Work Ethics: Sound work ethics in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills, and financial awareness.
