Position: Pastry Artisan I

Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after a specified period. If you are relocating, please ensure you have the necessary health coverage.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends - Early mornings (starting at 4:00 am) and afternoons

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional customer service Create products in a scratch bakery environment Finish, package, display, and rotate baked goods Organize and schedule bakery production to align with sales demands Uphold product quality standards and propose new items to diversify offerings Maintain temperature logs and adhere to food safety regulations Assist in organizing and coordinating the Bakery to meet financial targets Oversee baked goods production in the absence of the Bakery Supervisor Support in supervising team members in the Bakery's daily operations Order, receive, and stock inventory Stay updated on food safety recalls and provide customers with relevant information Manage time effectively to fulfill all special requests Practice safe food handling and wear appropriate attire Conduct general cleaning duties, following sanitation protocols and maintaining logs Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

Previous experience in a bakery setting Skills in cake decoration Excellent customer service and communication abilities Strong attention to detail and quality Effective organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with the capability to work independently Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting may be necessary Applicants must meet age requirements as per employment standards
