We are seeking a skilled Tilesetter to join our team at Western Carpet Sales and Service Sask Ltd 1980. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in tile installation across various settings, including both commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in tile setting.
Work Environment

The role will involve working in a dusty environment, requiring attention to detail and a focus on safety.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces for tile application.
  • Mix and apply various adhesives such as mortar, cement, and mastic using hand tools.
  • Set tiles accurately and apply pressure to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Align and straighten tiles to achieve a professional finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using both hand and power tools.
  • Pack grout into joints and ensure a clean finish by removing excess material.
  • Replace cracked or damaged tiles as needed.
  • Create decorative designs using mosaic tiles for walls and floors.
  • Estimate project costs and materials required for installation.
  • Install tile strips as part of the overall design.
