Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement merchandise strategies that align with company objectives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate strategies and ensure seamless execution
- Assist in planning and executing annual category reviews to optimize product assortment and pricing
- Align product assortment with budgets and financial goals
- Negotiate product costs and promotions with vendors to maximize value
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality products
- Optimize product life cycle to minimize inventory levels and maximize sales
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
- Contribute to pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
- Participate in vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or supply chain management
- At least 3 years of experience in retail category management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of retail purchasing dynamics and market trends
- Proficiency in systems and reporting tools, including Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
