Position Summary:
The primary objective of this role is to maximize equipment uptime, production throughput, and overall quality by maintaining, designing, and continuously improving our technological assets.
Essential Qualifications:- Completion of a recognized Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technician program or equivalent.
- Certification in a relevant trade recognized by CB Canada.
- Exhibit professionalism and uphold the values of CB Canada through adherence to company standards.
- Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving measures.
- Construct, service, maintain, and test both new and existing equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Diagnose process issues and implement quality enhancements to uphold product standards.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed in all equipment and work area practices.
- Coordinate the activities of apprentices and contractors as needed.
- Assist in the development and revision of preventive maintenance strategies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain a positive and responsible approach in all professional interactions.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment, identifying design weaknesses and suggesting enhancements.
- Analyze downtime occurrences to determine root causes and collaborate on solutions with production teams.
- Assess potential risks in processes and develop actionable plans to mitigate them.
- Monitor repair progress to ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Program and troubleshoot robotic systems and understand the grounding circuits of robotic welding cells.
- Install, align, and relocate industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
- Operate lifting devices to assist in machinery installation and repair.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
