We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Data Governance to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our Data Governance team, you will play a critical role in supporting data governance and data advisory activities for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and maturation of internal, business units, and Enterprise Data Governance metrics & KPI reporting.
  • Manage Data Governance operational queues and intakes, maintaining SLAs.
  • Automate data quality management with technology and embed data quality controls in key processes.
  • Implement data governance tools to enhance metadata and data quality capabilities.
  • Work with partners to address data access risk and ensure proper controls for critical data elements.
  • Apply and promote data governance standard methodologies for Loblaw Companies Ltd projects and processes.
  • Lead a team of hard-working individuals, foster career growth and skill development.
Requirements:
  • Progressive experience in data management, data governance, process improvement, or analytics working with multi-functional / matrix project teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and develop relationships across the organization.
  • A great teammate who is also able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment which requires prioritization of individual duties to align with department priorities.
