As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our furniture store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and optimize daily store operations to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance.
- Plan and organize daily store activities, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
- Manage and develop a team of sales associates, providing coaching and training to ensure excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Determine and implement merchandise and services to be sold, including product selection, pricing, and promotions.
- Implement and enforce price and credit policies, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products and competitive pricing.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
- Plan and manage budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff, ensuring continuous improvement and development.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail management role.
- College/CEGEP education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Furniture store environment with a fast-paced and dynamic work atmosphere.
Security and Safety:Criminal record check required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional standing for extended periods.
