Position Overview

Under the supervision of the DCC Head Customer Service Representative, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional front-line assistance to clients in a warm and inviting manner, fostering a sense of community for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greet and provide outstanding service to visitors.

• Assess customer requirements and suggest suitable services.

• Manage phone and email inquiries, ensuring accurate information is provided.

• Process admission fees, handle retail transactions, balance cash at the end of shifts, and prepare deposits.

• Facilitate the registration process for memberships, courses, and fitness programs.

• Sell event tickets to patrons in person or via phone using TicketPro software.

• Document admissions to DCC programs and drop-in services.

• Operate the box office for events and manage merchandise sales and reconciliation.

• Conduct facility tours upon request.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a High School Diploma is mandatory. Candidates should possess excellent customer service, cash handling, and computer skills, along with familiarity with the programs and services offered by the city. Training in Intelli Leisure and TicketPro software is advantageous. Prior experience in customer service and cash handling is essential. The ideal candidate must hold an Intermediate First Aid Certificate with Level CPR-C. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 365 and the ability to engage with diverse individuals while multitasking is crucial. A positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills, along with attention to detail, are key attributes for success in this role.

This position falls under the jurisdiction of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and adherence to the articles within the Collective Agreement is required.
