About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Shipwright to join our team at Commodore's Boats Ltd. as a Metal Fabrication Expert. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the assembly and fitting of metal structures, ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting our strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate assembly and fitting of metal components.
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and ensure compliance with our quality standards.
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, using a variety of metalworking techniques and tools.
  • Weld or bolt sections together to create strong and durable structures.
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines to cut, shape, and finish metal components.
  • Construct patterns and templates to ensure accurate fitting and assembly of metal components.
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting our quality standards.
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, using safe and efficient methods.
  • Work Term: Permanent - We offer a stable and secure work environment, with opportunities for career growth and development.
  • Work Language: English - We communicate in English, and proficiency in this language is required for this role.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week - We offer a standard full-time schedule, with regular working hours and breaks.
