About the Role
We're seeking a skilled professional to join our Property Large Loss team as a Field Adjuster - Large Loss Claims Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and investigate large and complex commercial property claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including counsel, consultants, and experts, to determine liability and assess damages.
- Mentor and guide regional file handlers to ensure consistent and effective claims handling.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify potential risks, hazards, and trends, sharing feedback and lessons learned with Underwriting and Loss Prevention teams.
- Provide exceptional customer service to brokers, customers, and colleagues, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Deliver key performance indicators related to loss development, loss adjustment expenses, claims leakage control, and expense management.
- Collaborate with Underwriting and Loss Prevention teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in handling large and complex commercial property claims.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
