Job Title: Youth Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Program Coordinator to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As a key member of our Youth Programs team, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating a variety of programs for youth aged 13-24 years that support their physical, social, and mental wellbeing, personal development, leadership skills, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate youth programs, events, and activities that meet the changing needs of youth within the community.
  • Work collaboratively with the Youth Engagement Workers and youth themselves to deliver high-quality programs and services.
  • Develop and implement program plans that promote healthy adolescent development and support the unique needs of youth.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal YMCA partners and external community organizations to support program offerings.
  • Ensure that youth programs are a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for all youth.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Work, Recreation & Leisure, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience working with youth between the ages of 13-24 years from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Knowledge of the unique needs of youth and resources available to them within our community.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills needed to build positive relationships with youth and community partners.
  • Passion for meaningfully engaging with youth and creating positive relationships.
