Job Title: Vinyl Floor Installer

We are seeking a skilled Vinyl Floor Installer to join our team at South Island Deck Solutions Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Vinyl Floor Installer will be responsible for installing high-quality vinyl flooring in residential and commercial settings. This is a permanent position, working 30-40 hours per week, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, Measure, and Mark Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark them accurately to ensure a precise fit.
  • Install Resilient Floor Coverings: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl and other materials.
  • Prepare and Install Hardwood Floors: Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Inspect and Repair Damaged Floor Coverings: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring accurate quotes and efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare Floors for Installations: Prepare floors for installations, including cleaning and preparing surfaces for new flooring.
  • Install Vinyl Decking Materials: Install vinyl decking materials, ensuring a durable and long-lasting finish.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in flooring installation.
