We are a leading wholesale food distributor seeking a skilled Butcher - Wholesale Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products are processed and delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cutting and Processing: Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting, cut carcasses, sides, and quarters, and prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
  • Meat Preparation: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, wrap and package prepared meats, remove bones from meat, and cut poultry into parts.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers, grind meats, train meat cutters, and supervise the preparation of special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Operate power grinders and slicing machines, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Availability: Availability for shift or on-call work, and willingness to relocate for this position.
