Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team at https://www.energyjobline.com/sitemap. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Estimate Labour and Material Costs: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects.
  2. Prepare Pre-Qualification Submissions: Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients.
  3. Read Blueprints and Specifications: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  4. Prepare Master Format Estimates: Prepare master format estimates (Class A) for construction projects.
  5. Prepare Elemental Format Estimates: Prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D) for construction projects.
  6. Operate CADD and Computer Software: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to prepare estimates.
  7. Prepare Estimates for General Expenses: Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
  8. Provide Economic Feasibility Studies: Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.
  9. Project Cash Flow and Financing Requirements: Project cash flow and financing requirements for construction projects.
  10. Create and Submit Estimate Reports: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms.
  11. Utilize Quantity Take-Off Procedures: Utilize quantity take-off procedures to prepare estimates.
  12. Advise on Tendering Procedures: Advise on tendering procedures for construction projects.
  13. Analyze Tenders and Recommend Awards: Analyze tenders and recommend awards for construction projects.
  14. Set Up Cost Monitoring and Reporting Systems: Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems for construction projects.
  15. Monitor and Adjust Contract Expenditures: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures for construction projects.
  16. Prepare and Maintain Directory of Supplies and Trade Contractors: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
  17. Liaise with Engineers, Architects, and Contractors: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
