About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Computer-Assisted Drafting Specialist to join our team at A. M. Reid Engineering and Construction Limited. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting
    • Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using CAD software
    • Develop and prepare design sketches and specifications
    • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects
  • Consultation and Collaboration
    • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure design accuracy and completeness
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, and SketchUp
    • Knowledge of multimedia software and MS Office
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in computer-assisted drafting
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Organized and able to work as part of a team
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, with occasional standing for extended periods.
