We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Oil Field Labourer to join our team at Southern Alberta Drilling & Servicing Co. As a key member of our drilling crew, you will be responsible for assisting in the setup, operation, and maintenance of drilling and service rigs.
Key Responsibilities- Drilling Operations: Assist in the manipulation of sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits.
- Material Handling: Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials as required.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the rig floor and surrounding areas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the setup, take-down, and transportation of drilling and service rigs and service equipment.
- Transportation: Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment as needed.
- Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.
- Weight Handling: Lift and move equipment and materials up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.
- Language: English language proficiency is required.
- Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
