About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Farm Labourer to join our team at Elmridge Farm Ltd. As a Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our farm, including crop harvesting, maintenance of farm equipment, and ensuring the quality of our produce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to prepare for planting
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth
  • Harvest crops at the right time to maintain quality and quantity
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety
  • Examine produce for quality and readiness for market
  • Hand harvest vegetables and other crops
  • Apply techniques such as hoeing between rows to maintain crop health
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality of produce
Work Environment

Our farm operates in a combination of fruit and vegetable farming, with a focus on producing high-quality crops. You will be working outdoors in a dusty and hot environment, with the possibility of exposure to extreme weather conditions.

Language and Hours
