Become a vital part of our team as a Warehouse Operations Specialist:

In the role of Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will collaborate with the engineering team to ensure effective communication regarding work progress and coordination, adhering to established policies and procedures. This position encompasses three primary responsibilities: inventory management, warehouse oversight, and support for aircraft maintenance operations.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Returning components, consumables, tools, and equipment to the warehouse with accurate identification and service status;
  • Receiving items and tools utilized in support from the warehouse;
  • Providing necessary components, consumables, and tools;
  • Facilitating the return of items from customers post-maintenance, ensuring all return labels are correctly completed;
  • Inspecting and documenting the service status of returned tools and equipment;
  • Maintaining a calibration schedule for all tools;
  • Conducting essential checks for maintenance equipment;
  • Executing tasks such as calibration, repair, modification, and upkeep of aircraft tools and equipment in line with approved maintenance protocols;
  • Coordinating with the tool control service as required;
  • Accurately and safely storing materials in designated locations;
  • Ensuring all distributed materials are in optimal condition and accompanied by necessary documentation;
  • Keeping a detailed record of all borrowing and returning activities, including electronic confirmations;
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workspaces, properties, and equipment;
  • Taking ownership of your work;
  • Reporting any conditions that may impact airworthiness;
  • Managing the supply, receipt, preservation, and distribution of aircraft components and materials to authorized personnel only;
  • Preserving, packaging, documenting, and controlling items for repair or overhaul of components or aircraft;
  • Identifying, managing, and rotating stock of items with limited shelf life;
  • Alerting the quality assurance representative of any discrepancies in documentation or physical condition of components;
  • Performing both external and internal maintenance tasks as required;
  • Understanding the Maintenance Procedures Manual and related processes;
  • Participating in the Safety Management System program by identifying, preventing, and reporting hazards.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in material handling and storage;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Proficient working knowledge of English (both oral and written);
  • Competent in computer usage;
  • Familiarity with the MS Office suite;
  • A collaborative team player with strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities;
  • Experience in inventory management is an asset;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license;
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 kg;
  • Must successfully pass security and background checks and be eligible to obtain a Transport Canada Restricted Area Identity Card;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record;
  • Must obtain and retain an Airside Vehicle Operations Permit within three months of employment;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while prioritizing safety at all times.

Eligibility requirements (mandatory):

  • Eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada reliability and Level II security clearance;
  • Must meet the requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations;
  • Location not accessible by public transportation; personal vehicle or ride-sharing is required.
