About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled API Technical Lead to join our team at FIS Global. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for leading engineering delivery on strategic initiatives within our Banking Platform Services organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead software initiatives within agile teams, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and governance requirements.
  • Act as a servant leader, helping to resolve conflicts, clear blockers, and enable efficient work.
  • Participate in the career development of team members, providing mentoring on new technologies and complex issues.
  • Provide leadership for your management team, leading multiple agile teams in delivery of key company initiatives.
  • Work with principal engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to build world-class services across a global team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading software engineering teams with a focus on RESTful APIs and micro-services.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Java, Spring Boot, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
  • Experience managing forecasting of software development team costs and estimating projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across cross-functional teams and generate successful outcomes.
