ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
The Key Holder plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership Team. Reporting to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, you will oversee the retail environment, implement and assess sales strategies, delegate tasks, provide constructive feedback to team members, and enhance the overall customer experience. In this position, you will assist with various leadership responsibilities while directly supervising all Sales Associates in the store. The Key Holder collaborates closely with the Store Leadership Team to support daily store operations, community engagement, and local marketing efforts.
A DAY IN THE LIFE

On a typical day, the Key Holder will:
- Cultivate customer loyalty by delivering exceptional experiences through genuine interactions and extensive product knowledge.
- Clearly articulate the features, advantages, and benefits of our products to customers.
- Manage stock intake and execute re-merchandising tasks effectively.
- Utilize the Point-of-Sale system for processing transactions, checking inventory, handling returns, gift cards, and exchanges.
- Propel sales and key performance indicators by nurturing a feedback-oriented work culture.
- Motivate and energize staff while assisting in refining in-store operations and workflow.
- Embody the Herschel culture as a Brand Ambassador, ensuring high standards of service and operational excellence.
- Set personal development goals in collaboration with management and seek new avenues for growth.
- Support the store management team with various responsibilities, including opening and closing procedures, receiving shipments, and performing administrative tasks.
- Engage with the Store Leadership team by participating in in-store events and team training sessions.
- Stay informed about all relevant Herschel marketing campaigns and initiatives at the store level.
- Accept additional tasks as directed by the Store Leadership team.
ABOUT YOU
- A natural leader with aspirations for training and some experience in guiding others.
- Previous retail experience in a Key Holder or established Sales Associate capacity.
- Friendly, confident, and authentic, capable of delivering a superior customer experience.
- Comfortable in a team-oriented environment and open to sharing ideas.
- Proficient in resolving customer service issues effectively.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events.
- A persuasive seller, able to communicate product features, advantages, and benefits clearly.
- Skilled in receiving and conveying feedback constructively.
- Results-driven and process-oriented, maintaining high expectations for self and team.
- Experience in visual merchandising, inventory management, and community engagement is a strong asset.
AVAILABILITY
We prefer full-time employees to have open availability. Key leader employees will have guaranteed full-time hours, with a standard of 40 hours per week. Availability to work one full weekend day is required.
WAGE BAND
$18.20-$21 per hour, based on experience.
