Position Overview: The Technical Proposal Engineer Intern will play a crucial role in the preparation and management of technical proposals and project cost assessments in close collaboration with both sales and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, competitive bids by leveraging various tools to create project deliverables and accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with technical, sales, and field services teams to gather insights from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency across the organization regarding proposals, templates, corporate guidelines, and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Oversee and facilitate subcontractor components of proposals as necessary.
  • Maintain the integrity of CRM data for opportunities that are in the development phase.
  • Contribute to the creation of new processes, efficiency tools, and databases at both the team and organizational levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, structural, mechanical, or civil) or a related technical field focused on power or renewables.
  • Approximately 1-5 years of experience in proposals, project management, and/or engineering within the power or renewables sector.
  • Strong business acumen in project management, proposals, and consulting engineering.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft software programs and related add-ins.
  • Must possess permanent authorization to work in Canada.

Compensation: The target base compensation range for this role is $89,700 - $121,300 CAD. Factors influencing actual salary may include job-specific skills, education, training, job location, years of relevant experience, and comparisons to existing employees in similar roles.
