About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Campbell River Lodge. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Dusting and Vacuuming: Dust all furniture and fixtures, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Bed Making and Linen Management: Make beds and change sheets as needed, and manage linen supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Guest Services: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Laundry and Linen Services: Launder clothing and household linens, and restock linen closets as needed.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition to help them integrate into our team.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees to facilitate their transition.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers to support their career development.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
