Vertex Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support for pipeline and linear infrastructure projects related to new construction, mitigations, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for pipeline and linear infrastructure projects related to new construction, mitigations, and monitoring.
- Conduct engineering assessments for slope instability and create recommendations for geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring of geohazards.
- Coordinate with drillers and geotechnical labs to ensure accurate and reliable data.
- Mentor junior engineers to support geotechnical field activities and ensure knowledge transfer.
- Travel for conducting site investigations in the field when required.
- Review and assess lab results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Technical report writing and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project success.
- Assist with proposals and cost estimate preparation to ensure accurate and reliable data.
- Work with leadership team to develop new client base and growth of the business.
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of professional work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering.
- P.Eng. designation in good standing with PEO.
- Experience in the use of commercially available software packages for the assessment of slope stability.
- Experience with project management and familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft products.
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
