Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Marble Setter to join our team at Queen's Marble & Granite. This role involves working with various materials to create stunning surfaces in both residential and commercial settings.

Education Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will provide on-site customer service and may be required to relocate as costs will be covered by the employer. Work settings include:

  • Commercial establishments
  • Industrial sites
  • Residential properties
  • Various locations
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces for coverage.
  • Mix and apply various adhesives including mortar and cement using hand tools.
  • Create rough plans and sketches for projects.
  • Install tiles with precision and ensure they are securely affixed.
  • Align and straighten tiles for a flawless finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using both hand and power tools.
  • Pack grout into joints and ensure excess is removed.
  • Replace cracked or damaged tiles as necessary.
  • Design decorative layouts using mosaic tiles.
  • Construct underbeds and install necessary fixtures.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite materials.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
  • Install tile strips as required.
Physical Demands

This position is physically demanding and requires:

  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail and managing a large workload.
