Key Responsibilities
  • Flight Operations: Pilot fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee engine and aircraft systems during flights to assess functionality.
  • Testing New Aircraft: Evaluate the performance of newly developed aircraft through rigorous testing.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with ground crews and air traffic control, directing crew activities during test flights.
  • In-Flight Assessments: Conduct tests while airborne, monitoring aircraft systems and equipment.
  • Pre-Flight Inspections: Ensure aircraft readiness by performing thorough inspections and verifying weight and balance compliance.
  • Communication: Maintain contact with control towers for clearances and instructions, and manage in-flight emergencies.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed flight evaluation reports to document findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
Work Environment
