Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, and other materials from metal products.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to ensure thorough cleaning.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets, parts, and scrap metal for efficient production.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles with metal products.
  • Polish metal products to a high shine.
  • Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
Work Environment

As a Welder Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a variety of temperatures.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude are essential.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are required.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Work Term and Language

This is a permanent position with a 30-hour workweek. English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
