Job Title: Vice President, Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Executive

Job Summary:

North York General Hospital (NYGH) is seeking a visionary leader to provide strategic and operational leadership in the development and delivery of its clinical programs, nursing, and interprofessional practice. As a senior leadership role, this position is responsible for driving innovation and excellence in healthcare through partnerships, collaboration, and academic endeavours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical programs, nursing, and interprofessional practice
  • Provide leadership and direction to clinical teams and leaders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation and excellence in healthcare
  • Represent the nursing cohort at the senior leadership team, Medical Advisory Committee, and North York General Hospital Board of Governors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, coupled with a graduate degree in nursing, health policy, or business/health/public administration
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Extensive experience within a community or academic health sciences hospital, including knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation, framework, and regulations
  • Excellent leadership skills, understanding, and valuing organizational culture
  • Commitment and ability to coach, mentor, support, and develop high-performing and innovative clinical teams and leaders
