Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanic, Motor Vehicle to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of commercial transport trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, repairs, and replacements of parts and components.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace units.
  • Discuss work with supervisor and review work orders.
  • Road test motor vehicles and adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
  • Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Tire, wheel, and rim mechanic certification.
  • Experience in heavy-duty mechanics and commercial transport truck repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
