Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Application Development Manager to join our team at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for assessing, designing, developing, configuring, and implementing application and infrastructure solutions to support our business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure applications, integrations, data, and infrastructure to meet business requirements.
- Conduct changes to existing systems, including upgrades, new releases, optimization, preventative maintenance, fixes, and technical testing.
- Develop and deploy proof of concepts, prototypes, and evaluate opportunities to leverage agile methodologies and tools.
- Develop and maintain code and configuration repositories to ensure code is centrally monitored and managed.
- Support the change and release management process, including defining release strategy and associated task planning.
- Provide application support, including on-call support, to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Identify potential solution risks and escalate to relevant stakeholders to ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
- Maintain documentation to ensure key processes and procedures are current.
- Communicate with stakeholders for updates, impacts to services, intake, and other relevant information.
Requirements:
- Minimum six years' experience in progressively advancing roles within technology or a closely related function.
- Minimum of four years' experience in solution application/infrastructure design, development, and/or delivery.
- Subject matter expertise and/or guidance to broader teams.
- Experience managing SaaS and both on-premises and cloud application environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Enterprise Technology Systems, business administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- DevOps, MS Power Platform, Workflow Analysis, Logical Data Modeling, User Interface Design, User Experience Design, Cloud Computing, Application Design, Application Development, Scripting Tools and Languages, Database Development Tools, ETL Process, Health Monitoring, Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, RESTAPI, SSIS, Python.
