Position: Site Security Lead - Healthcare

Overview:
The Site Security Lead (SSL) plays a crucial role in overseeing access control measures for healthcare facilities. This position involves mentoring and guiding security personnel on-site, managing incidents, and serving as the primary point of contact for client communications in the absence of the Assistant Site Lead (ASL). The SSL is responsible for ensuring that the ASL is informed of all site-related issues and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support Security Officers assigned to the facility, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct orientation and training for new security personnel, ensuring all training materials and assessments are completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor officer performance and behavior, providing coaching and mentorship as necessary.
  • Assist and oversee the responsibilities of all security officers on duty.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for site operations and training, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and follow up on incidents as required.
  • Ensure accurate and complete reporting by all officers, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Perform regular site patrols, manage desk duties, and respond to calls as needed.
  • Compile monthly reports detailing site activities for client review.
  • Schedule and execute regular safety drills and training sessions, maintaining thorough documentation of all activities.
  • Provide leadership and support to the security team during after-hours situations.

Qualifications:
- Valid Security License
- BC Driver's License (Class 5/7N)
- Proficient in computer applications with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
