About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at G&G Roofing Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespersons and performing various laboring and elemental activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials, ensuring timely delivery to job sites.
  • Erecting and Dismantling: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Tend to and feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Assisting Skilled Tradespersons: Provide support to skilled tradespersons, including roofers, carpenters, and other construction professionals.
  • Roofing and Waterproofing: Install sheet metal flashings, install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools, and apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces.
  • Roofing Systems: Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials and built-up roofing systems using asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular 30-hour workweek, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
